As Your Journey Continues, Homeschool Scholarships Are Available!
High school graduation is a milestone—but it’s also the start of your next big adventure. To help you on your journey, this year we are offering EIGHT scholarships ranging in value from $500 to $2000 – exclusively for Canadian homeschool graduates!
The idea of offering a scholarship for high school students grew from the understanding that homeschooling families make exceptional sacrifices and don’t have access to as many grants, bursaries, and scholarships as are available through public education. We think homeschool grads deserve recognition for their dedication and hard work, too!
What an honour to be a part of your homeschooling journey.

Tressey J. Brand of La Broquerie West, Manitoba is studying Practical Nursing at the Assiniboine Community College. She desires to serve others and make a meaningful difference through nursing.
Some of Tressey’s greatest accomplishments have been through music. She feels blessed that homeschooling provided the opportunity to devote more time to violin through lessons and masterclasses. She was also able to share this gift with family, friends, and even strangers at weddings and funerals. Music challenged Tressey to become focused and disciplined, to pursue excellence, and to grow as a person.
Nurses serve others throughout their lives, at the beginning and at the end, through happy experiences and hard ones. They provide lifesaving care no matter what. The human body is incredibly complex and it’s my dream to make a difference in peoples’ lives through the field of nursing!

Jessica H. Nicholson of Nepean, Ontario is pursuing Elementary Education with a minor in Music. She discovered her calling while teaching violin to children.
One of Jessica’s greatest accomplishments has been starting her own violin studio. She was accepted into the Suzuki Violin Teacher Training Institute to further develop her teaching strategies and skills.
She has also organized a recital for her violin students, which was a success and enjoyed by students, family, and friends alike.
I have chosen to study Elementary Education and Music because I enjoy interacting with children and have been blessed with the ability to relate to them well. Volunteering at the Ottawa Christian School and teaching violin lessons helped me to decide that this was a field I feel called to work in and am able to do well.

Alyssa Carew of Desbarats, Ontario is studying Foundations for Christian Life at Millar College of the Bible, where she is pursuing growth and active service in ministry.
During her twelfth grade year, Alyssa completed a University-level English course through Athabasca University. She feels this was a valuable opportunity to develop her ability to read, analyze, and write about quality literature, and it has prepared her well for essay assignments at Millar College.
I have chosen to attend Millar College of the Bible to further my growth, learn leadership and discipleship skills, and find new ministry opportunities.

Cole Braden of Ashton, Ontario is studying Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa. Not only has he already completed three university level math credits at University of Ottawa, but Cole and his brother started Steampunk Robotics in 2018. This STEM education company has received provincial awards and employs four instructors that provide STEM education to under-served rural communities across the Ottawa Valley.
Cole has always been a “maker” and enjoyed the process of problem – plan – trial – solution. He hopes to glorify God in his studies and future career.
I want to be an ambassador for the Christian home education movement and bring glory to God by my efforts. Through math and science, I have been able to stand on the shoulders of giants and learn about advances in tech that would have seemed unbelievable only 100 years ago.

Leah Ramsay of Walnut Grove, New Brunswick is pursuing Biblical and Theological studies at New Brunswick Bible Institute. She has a heart to serve in ministry and wants to be rooted in the word of God.
Music has been an important part of Leah’s life with formal piano lessons and teaching herself how to play guitar. She now uses her musical gift to lead worship at her church and at youth retreats and Bible camps.
At home, I have learned the importance of prayer and personal devotions. I have been encouraged to seek wise counsel, to be humble, to ask for forgiveness, and to be patient, preferring others above myself.

Eliora Cooke of Coldwater, Ontario is studying Concurrent Education at Lakehead University. Eliora feels blessed to have a mother that instilled a love in her for teaching others and wants to use that God-given gift.
She feels home education provided her the opportunity to become self-motivated and disciplined through working independently. These skills paid off when Eliora completed an online university English course which she passed with honours. She feels this helped pave the way for her university acceptance.
A home-schooled education has allowed me to discover how God is found in every subject, and I am eagerly awaiting to see where His handiwork will be in my university studies.
